what we do

Women working together to set up a vegetables garden

Hands on training on urban farming skills

We train women on how to grow crops organically, soil management, Crop selection and drip irrigation technique. We aim to equip these marginalized women with modern urban farming techniques where they are able to utilize minimum available space to maximize production of crops using pots, terraces, (vertical farming) and raised beds. The Hands-On Experience enables the women acquire practical skills to generate income. The hands-on learning is through a demonstration farm where they can apply their knowledge and gain practical experience.

Kids Garden Project

As a way of having the mothers concentrate during trainings without worrying about where to leave their kids, The Kids Garden Project creates a safe space where preschool children of the participants are able to bond with their mothers. This is possible through educational activities where children engage in gardening and learning about farming and nature.
